Korean Publishers Association will run a Rights Center open to all those who want to make rights negotiations during the Seoul International Book Fair (May 14-18, 2008).

With the very first introduction of the guest of honor at the SIBF, China in this year, in conjunction with the 28th IPA (International Publishers Association) Publishers Congress (May 12-15, 2008), hundreds of publishers from all over the world are expected to come to Seoul in May 2008.

  • The SIBF Rights Center offers rights managers as well as literary agents a meeting place for rights negotiations on a "first come, first served basis" free of charge.
  • Please fill out the registration form attached and send it via email (ejpark@kpa21.or.kr)
  • In the meanwhile, you are kindly requested to register for the trade visitor on the SIBF website (www.sibf.or.kr). Your data will be included in the list of trade visitors. A list of trade visitors and exhibitors will be uploaded on the SIBF website which can help you arrange meetings and visits ahead of time.
  • 'In the Rights Center, you will also find:

  • 'Books from Korea 2008' (www.koreabooks.net)

    titles selected by a Book Selection Committee that consists of professionals from the Korean publishing industry sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Culture and Tourism for promotion of Korean books abroad
